This is Chehalem's 100% stainless steel fermented and aged Chardonnay, and it is a perfect example of the range of this varietal. The 2020 offering is rich and bright with clean, pleasant aromatics. There is a strong stone fruit presence--apple, pear, apricot--that gives way to lemon curd, dried mango, and honey. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, weighted by a slight viscosity that creates an alluring texture on the finish. There is plenty of crisp acidity to round out the finish, making the wine feel fresh and zesty.
