Winemaker/proprietor Kurt Beitler comes from a long line of wine royalty; Chuck Wagner (Caymus) is his uncle, but Kurt stands on his own out on the Sonoma Coast wilderness, sourcing fruit from top vineyard sites. For the West Pole bottling, he assembled 31 Pinot Noir barrels from the Bohème single-vineyard program. Perfumed in plum and cherry, the palate is juicy and textured, with lovely length and hints of cardamom, clove, and oak.
